CLEAR INFORMATION, APP BY APP

Privacy

Privacy policy for The Plan Studio LLC and the Desperate Parent Toolkit. Updated October 22, 2026.

Small tools, different data needs

This policy describes our apps and website. We do not include advertising or tracking SDKs in these apps, and we do not sell personal information. Plan, Snap, Took, Pack and No. do not send their app content to a studio-operated cloud service. Pace offers optional cloud collaboration. Apple may separately process purchases, operating-system services, device backups and diagnostics under your Apple settings.

These tools are designed for adults, including parents managing family schedules. Please avoid adding unnecessary sensitive information about children or other people. Took is a personal log, not a medical service.

Website and support

This site is hosted with Firebase Hosting. It has no login, analytics SDK, advertising SDK or support form. Fonts and brand images are served with the site. Google may process technical request information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and protect the website.

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include so we can respond. Our email provider processes those messages. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, medication histories or private family schedules. Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence; records may need to be retained where required by law or for a continuing support or security matter.

Plan

Plan stores routines, checklist completion and reminder settings on your device. It schedules local notifications with your permission. There is no app account, advertising, analytics SDK or app-operated cloud sync. You can edit or delete your routines in the app. Device backups are controlled by your Apple settings.

Snap

Snap stores images you choose to import, reminder text and dates on your device in a container shared with its Share extension. The photo picker gives access to selected images; Snap does not upload your photo library to us. Reminders use local notifications with your permission. Delete reminders in Snap to remove their associated stored content. No account or app-operated cloud sync is included.

Pace

Pace can be used without an account. Device-only people, schedules, notes, locations, recurrence settings and reminders are stored in a local file. Optional cloud mode uses Sign in with Apple, Firebase Authentication, Firestore and Cloud Functions. Cloud data includes an account identifier, available sign-in name/email, family membership and invitations, and the schedule information you choose to upload. An explicit import is required to upload a local schedule; opening an existing family schedule does not silently merge it with local data.

No.

No. stores your response choices and saved voice recordings on your device. Microphone permission is requested when you choose to record. Recordings are not sent to us. The app uses system speech synthesis and audio playback. You can delete saved recordings and responses in the app. There are no accounts, analytics SDKs, ads or app-operated cloud sync. No. is free and will remain free.

Pack

Pack stores packing lists, sections, items and completion states on your device. Duplicating a list creates a separate copy; resetting clears checkmarks rather than deleting items. Delete lists or items in the app to remove them. Pack has no account, analytics SDK, ads or app-operated cloud sync.

Took

Took stores medication names, strengths, amounts and recorded times locally. It does not provide medical advice, verify that a dose was taken, or recommend when to take another. A paired iPhone and Apple Watch exchange records using Apple WatchConnectivity; iPad records remain separate. The local ledger is excluded from device backup by the app. There are no accounts, analytics SDKs, HealthKit integration or app-operated cloud sync. Larger Home Screen widgets may expose medication information; compact shortcuts show only an icon. You can edit or delete records and clear recorded history in the app; reconnect the paired devices to propagate changes. Presets remain when history is cleared.

Pace cloud storage and sharing

Firebase/Google processes optional cloud account and schedule data on our behalf. Family owners choose which people an invited member can see and whether they can edit. An event involving a permitted person can expose its title, notes, place and reminder details even when other participants are hidden. Avoid private information in shared event text. Anyone holding an unused invitation code can accept it after signing in; share codes only with intended recipients.

Cloud data is protected by authenticated membership rules and the providers’ transport and storage protections. We do not claim end-to-end encryption. Authorized infrastructure administrators and service providers may have access necessary to operate the service. Revoking access stops future authorized cloud access after devices reconnect; it cannot erase copies already downloaded or exported.

Use Settings → Account & Sync → Delete account to request deletion of your Pace account. Owned family schedules and invitations are deleted, and your memberships in other families are removed. Content in another organizer’s schedule remains with that organizer. A minimal deletion/security receipt is retained to prevent reuse of the deleted account. Device-only files, recovery exports, other members’ copies and Apple-controlled backups are separate; deletion does not automatically erase those copies.

Map searches use Apple Maps. Search terms are sent to Apple; selected place details become part of the schedule and are shared if that schedule uses cloud mode. Pace does not request your current location.

Planned Pace Plus subscriptions

Pace Plus is being prepared and is not yet available to purchase. Personal planning will remain free without sign-in. Plus is intended to provide cloud sync and one family workspace for an organizer and up to five invited adults. Invited members will not need their own subscription.

When enabled, purchases will be handled by Apple. We will use Apple-verified purchase identifiers, product and subscription status, expiration and an account-binding identifier to authorize cloud access; we will not receive payment-card details. Actual prices and eligible trial terms will appear in Apple’s purchase flow. This is Pace workspace access, separate from Apple’s purchase Family Sharing.

The planned downgrade policy preserves cloud schedules, stops premium synchronization after paid access and any Apple-authorized grace period end, and offers an explicit local-copy/export path. It will not silently merge personal and family schedules or delete them solely because a subscription ends. This policy requires the completed Plus release; it does not describe a currently active billing system.

Your choices and questions

You can manage notification and microphone permissions in device Settings, remove widgets, delete app content, and use Pace without signing in. Local data may be included in Apple-controlled device backups unless excluded by the app; Took excludes its ledger. Deleting an app generally removes its local container, but is not a request to delete a Pace cloud account or copies on other devices.

We retain cloud account content until it is deleted through the app or an appropriate request, subject to security, legal and provider backup requirements. We do not promise instantaneous removal from every backup. For access, correction or deletion questions, email hello@theplanstudio.net. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

We will update this page when our data practices change. See our support page for contact information.
